HPI d–school
The HPI d-school is part of the Hasso Plattner Institute for Digital Engineering at the University of Potsdam and one of the leading institutions for design thinking in Europe. Since 2007, we have been training students to solve complex problems in a user-centered, creative, and interdisciplinary way. You can complete our practice-oriented programs alongside your studies and develop key future skills such as teamwork, innovation methods, and entrepreneurial thinking. Since our founding, we have worked with over 400 organizations from a wide range of industries to jointly develop products, services, business models, and strategies.
Who are we looking for?
We welcome students from all disciplines and qualification levels (bachelor's, master's, PhD) who are interested in innovation, teamwork, and new ways of working. It is important to be open-minded, curious, and willing to work with people from different disciplines to solve complex challenges together.

Our working environment
The d.school has an international presence, with locations in the US, Africa, and at the Hasso Plattner Institute in Potsdam. Together with around 40 students from different disciplines and countries, you will work on real-world problems posed by project partners such as start-ups, NGOs, and companies. You will be accompanied by experienced coaches who will guide you through the process—without traditional lectures or exams, but with plenty of room to experiment.
